Basin Water, Inc. (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) has received a contract from the East Valley Water District in San Bernardino County, California, to remove uranium and nitrates from the district’s Well No. 40. Basin Water will use its patented ion exchange technology to perform the work, which will allow the district to bring the out-of-service well back on line. The contract includes a 10-year services agreement and encompasses the installation, commissioning, and start-up of the ion exchange system, as well as training of the East Valley Water District and the provision of associated residuals management services. The new system represents the third technology and services agreement between Basin Water and the East Valley Water District, and the first for uranium removal.
