Executive-led delegations from ADNOC, Kuwait Petroleum, Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, Sonatrach and the South Oil Company of Iraq were among the MENA region NOC’s that attended the conference and BUSACC’s reception at the kickoff of the week, Monday, May 2nd at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Over 800 attended BUSACC’s reception, including delegates from Algeria, Angola, Ghana, Iraq, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nigeria, Norway, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. BUSACC Board member, Rob Franklin, President ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures, asked ADNOC’s managers to join him on stage to receive the “Visionary Leadership Award” on behalf of Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, ADNOC Deputy CEO. The award is given to companies that demonstrate a commitment to enhancing business and education ties between the United States and Arab world. Past recipients include Aramco, ExxonMobil and ConocoPhillips.

“A company’s commitment to US-Arab trade isn’t only counted in monetary contribution. Support is most valuable when it is measured in access,” explained Aida Araissi, President of BUSACC.
