The bio-economy will be interfacing with the real world at BiobasedWorld at ACHEMA. The event will allow participants to meet key players from the global bio-based value chain and enable them to discuss new technologies, processes, latest developments and ideas at one time in one place.
BiobasedWorld at ACHEMA gives participants a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the vibrant community that is constantly driving forward global projects focused on biomass, biofuels, biogas, biorefinery and bio-based chemicals.
Aiming to provide a stimulus for technology trends, BiobasedWorld at ACHEMA, will create a launch-pad for bio-economy investments and new ventures by featuring an exhibition together with an associated conference focused on the bio-economy plus a series of related Technology Transfer Days.
The Technology Transfer Days offer an opportunity for experts from academia and industry to present, in a series of 10-minute talks, their research and development findings as well as outline products, processes or services. They will also be able to propose or detail collaborative ventures or projects. The Technology Transfer Days will take place near to ACHEMA from 19 to 20 June 2012.
Session Topics for the Technology Transfer Days include:
- Biorefinery processes for biomass conversion
- New crops for bio-based applications
- New microbial, enzymatic and catalytic production systems
- Scale-up of processes and downstream processing
- Bio-based products for new commercial applications in energy, chemical, cosmetics, food and textile industries
