DISTRIBUTED PRODUCTION OF BIODIESEL FUEL

ABATEC SA has released the 4th generation of its SAVOIA BD-4 processors family, for distributed production of high quality methylester and valuable glycerol.

The BD JET high temperature reaction can handle, in one single step, used or virgin oils, and liquid tallow with up to 6% acidity.

Main features :

- Liquid lye catalyzer can be used

- Band type electric heaters on pipes in a separated box

- Improved on-line mixer with high turbulence

- Full isolation on top and cone

- Screw type dispenser for the catalyzer

- Dimensions BD4 reactor: 1 x 1 x 2,2 m, 180 kg weight

- Densimeter and viscosimeter supplied loose for BD fast testing

The new modules use the well proven BD JET high temperature protocol, and the scope included is as follows:

* M24, for 2400 L/day

   - 1 (One) BD4-D dryer for 400 L/h of oil

   - 1 (One) BD4 reactor for 400 L/batch

   - 2 (Two) BD4-E pressurized, isolated decanters

   - 1 (One) BD2-F centrifugal filter for particle size 0.5 micron

   - 1 (One) SA-T pendular compressor, 1.5 HP, for oilless and dry air

* M32, for 3200 L/day

   - 1 (One) BD4-D dryer for 400 L/h of oil

    - 1 (One) BD4 reactor for 400 L/batch

   - 3 (Three) BD4-E pressurized, isolated decanters

   - 1 (One) BD2-F centrifugal filter for particle size 0.5 micron

   - 1 (One) SA-T pendular compressor, 1.5 HP, for oilless and dry air

* M40, for 4000 L/day

   - 1 (One) BD4-D dryer for 400 L/h of oil

    - 1 (One) BD4 reactor for 400 L/batch

   - 4 (four) BD4-E pressurized, isolated decanters

   - 2 (two) BD2-F centrifugal filter for particle size 0.5 micron

   - 1 (One) SA-T pendular compressor, 1.5 HP, for oilless and dry air

The biodiesel production can be increased w/o any limit by placing several M40 units in parallel.

As an optional, it is available the M40-AT, a full automatic module for 1.5 T/year of biodiesel.
