Saint-Laurent Energies Inc. (SLE), a Quubec-based wind energy company jointly owned by EDF Energies Nouvelles Canada Inc., Hydromega Services Inc. and RES Canada Inc., has named Stephane Boyer CEO.

Boyer's most recent corporate experience was in the role of vice president at Hydromega - one of the largest independent power producers of hydro and wind projects within the province of Quebec - where he was a member of the senior management team and responsible for development activities.

At Hydromega, Boyer was engaged in project development, engineering and commercial transactions, including off-take agreements, regulatory and corporate matters. Before coming to Hydromega, he worked at the French electrical utility EDF, where he held managerial and project management positions.

'Stephane brings extensive knowledge of SLE's projects and leadership in the Quebec wind energy industry to SLE,' says Jacky Cerceau, president and CEO of Hydromega.

Boyer has a civil engineering degree from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquees de Lyon in France.
