Breaking News: Perris, CA Anaerobic Digester
BioCycle Editor Nora Goldstein and Publisher Rill Ann Miller toured the new CR&R anaerobic digester in Perris, CA last month. Still in the commissioning phase, the facility is designed to process source separated green waste and food scraps from municipalities in the Los Angeles region, along with commercial source separated food waste streams. CR&R and Southern California Gas Co.( SoCalGas) recently announced they began construction of a pipeline (about 1.4 miles long) that will bring renewable natural gas from the AD facility to the SoCalGas distribution system. CR&R will be using RNG from the pipeline to fuel its fleet of waste collection trucks. Watch for full story in BioCycle in Spring 2017.
