Creating a Clean Room to Protect Indoor Air Quality during a Wildfire Discussed in New Online Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational production about an important environmental, health and safety (EHS) topic.
Phoenix, AZ, August 11th, 2019 -- Today the IAQ Video Network and Cochrane & Associates announced the release of their latest educational video. Their newest production discusses the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) tips for creating a clean room to safeguard indoor air quality during a wildfire.
“The EPA states that if there is an active fire in an area, or if the Air Quality Index (AQI) indicates smoke levels are unhealthy and forecasted to remain there, local authorities may advise residents to stay indoors or create a clean room rather than evacuate in some situations,” said Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates and the IAQ Video Network. “For these situations, the agency has provided suggestions to help keep wildfire smoke out of a part of the home. This is known as a clean room and we have created a short video that includes the EPA’s tips.”
This video was sponsored by a number of organizations and leading industry professionals that work to protect and enhance the public's health and safety. Sponsors include EMSL Analytical, LA Testing, Clark Seif Clark, Zimmetry Environmental and Healthy Indoors Magazine to name a few.
