The UK’s national event for contaminated land and remediation issues, Brownfield Expo (BEX), will take place from May 19-21, 2009 at the NEC Birmingham.

Following the success of BEX 2008, publisher and event organiser Faversham House Group has ambitious plans for 2009 commenting, “it is to be the biggest event yet – with more new and exciting initiatives than ever before.”

Brownfield Expo brings together the main contractors, land users, environmental consultants and influencers from the public and private sectors who use and regenerate contaminated land. It is the most comprehensive event to network and see innovative technologies and services.

Creating the ideal location for industry knowledge, inspiration and answers, BEX will once again run alongside the National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX), International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX), Environmental Technology (ET) and, new for this year, Sustainable Business - The Event (SB).

This year Sustainabilitylive! hosted over 450 exhibitors and attracted over 8000 attendees. 2008 exhibitor Roni Osijo, Associate Director at Parsons Brinckerhoff, confirmed the event’s success commenting, “The quality of delegates at Sustainabilitylive! has been great. With local authority workers attending the EIC conference, the show has been excellently positioned. Attending has been a great opportunity to increase the awareness of our company.”

Event director Donna Bushell says, “We are looking forward to ensuring another successful year for Sustainabilitylive! as we continually look to grow and improve the event. This year will see new initiatives launched, new feature areas, fresh seminar and conference ideas hosted by industry leaders, and plenty of innovative technology.”
