EMSL will be holding a NIOSH 582 Equivalent Course in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. The workshop will be held from Monday, February 25, 2013 to Thursday, February 28, 2013 atEMSL Training Center located at 200 Route 130 North, Cinnaminson, NJ 08077. The workshop will be held from 9:00AM to 5:00PM each day at a cost of $950 per student or $800 per student for two or more from the same organization.
The course will coverall aspects of sampling and analysis using the NIOSH 7400 Method including, background of asbestos, proper equipment selection, calibration of equipment, sampling procedure, sample preparation, analysis methods, calculation of results, quality assurance and quality control. Presentations as well as plenty of hands on activity are combined to give the student a well rounded background in this method.
At the end of the course there is a written exam to measure the level of technical understanding.
To receive a NIOSH 582 certificate the student must attend all training sessions and successfully complete the written exam.
