Energy from Waste Conference 2017 programme announced

London -- MA Business, organisers of the highly influential Energy from Waste Conference, today announced details of the 13th annual event, taking place 20-22 February 2017, at the Royal College of Physicians, London.  Hosted in association with Recycling Waste World magazine, the conference is now open for delegate bookings at: www.efwconference.com

Delivered under the heading A Brave New World, the Energy from Waste Conference offers an extensive programme designed to promote discussion and debate among the international energy from waste industry thought leaders and key decision makers.  Highlights include energy policy appraisal, investment and finance discussion, expert interviews, the role of local government review, panel debates, opportunities in central and eastern Europe and secondary technologies to make EFW more viable.    

The event includes an impressive line-up of renowned international speakers, with input from policy makers, academia and industry.  The programme hosts professionals representing Eunomia, Cobalt Energy, CIWM, Ricardo, SSE, BTMU and Suez Environnement plus many more.

Delegates will also have a choice of practical workshop streams covering how to overcome the operational barriers to growth. Subjects being covered will be, RDF, due diligence, opportunities for SRF and the absence of heat delivery networks.

Delegates are also invited to attend an exclusive site visit to the newly opened Greatmoor EFW plant near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. The site is operated by FCC Environment for Buckinghamshire County Council on a 30-year contract.  It will thermally treat up to 300,000 tonnes of residual waste per annum, comprising both household and commercial waste that would have otherwise been disposed of in landfill sites.

 An exhibition of leading suppliers and service providers runs simultaneously alongside the two-day conference providing direct access for delegates to leading industrial technology and service specialists. Throughout the event attendees can request and book one-to-one meetings with fellow attendees, speakers and exhibitors via the online meeting booking system.

Finally, delegates and exhibitors are invited to attend the relaxed and informal drinks reception and pre-conference networking dinner on the evening of 21 February.
