EnviroChemie EnviModul Flomar wastewater treatment plant cleans dairy wastewater at the Schrozberg sewage treatment plant - Case Study
Following a call for tenders, the town of Schrozberg commissioned EnviroChemie to build and install a wastewater treatment plant for dairy wastewater at the municipal sewage treatment plant.
An EnviModul Flomar® flotation plant is used to pre-treat dairy wastewater, which is fed in separately from municipal wastewater. Afterwards, it is added to the biological treatment stage of the sewage treatment plant. EnviroChemie also supplied an exhaust air purification system to prevent unpleasant odours in the neighbourhood and at the nearby swimming pool.
The flotation stage for wastewater pre-treatment reduces the fat content in the wastewater by more than 97%, and the phosphorus content by more than 90%. This significantly lowers the load on the existing biological treatment stage of the sewage treatment plant, and leads to a considerable reduction in overall energy demand and surplus sludge accumulation.
'EnviroChemie implemented the entire project smoothly and on time, to our complete satisfaction', summarises Thomas Pöschik from the municipality of Schrozberg.
