A seven station network of digital meteorology stations are to be supplied to a major utility company by Air Monitors, the UK distributor of Envirologger products. The system was chosen for its ability to centralise data from all of the client’s sites to one central data server using secure internet technology.

The stations also feature the Gill Metpak met sensors measuring wind speed and direction, temp, humidity and atmospheric pressure. Solar radiation & rainfall will also be monitored.

Commenting on the order, Air Monitors’ MD Jim Mills said: “This is an ideal application for the Envirologger for a number of reasons. Firstly, it has been designed specifically for the environmental monitoring market, so it is small, robust and operates at very low power. Secondly, the Envirologger is compatible with almost every communications technology so it is simple to collect data from multiple sites for display on a web-enabled server, so that any user with a password can access the data from anywhere at any time.
