EOS Remediation, LLC Announces the Debut of an Innovative Product at Battelle`s International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds
MONTEREY, Calif., May 23, 2012 /PR Newswire/ -- EOS XR is a new product developed by EOS Remediation, LLC to combat the unique challenges of matrix diffusion. The release of the new product by the North Carolina based company coincided with Battelle's Eighth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds occurring this week at the Monterey Conference Center.
EOS XR is the first premium, food-grade oil/water emulsion that gradually releases electron donors for 10 to 20 years to treat chlorinated solvents and other persistent contaminants that slowly diffuse out of clays, fractured rock and other low permeability zones. The time released, three stage formulation of EOS XR provides rapid, steady and gradual release of substrate which is the key to promoting anaerobic bioremediation in areas where back diffusion is an issue.
The new product incorporates the same patented EOS® technologies that the company has used for more than a decade.
'Announcing our new product at Battelle makes perfect sense,' Ann Borden, President and Owner of EOS Remediation, LLC said. 'The conference provides a forum for innovation, encouraging organizations like ourselves to address the challenges associated with the treatment of these types of contaminants.'
The subject of matrix diffusion has been a hot topic at the conference appearing throughout the program in the titles of various presentations and posters.
