March 8, 2019 -- This Detector automates de-sludge pumps to operate only when necessary, reducing energy usage, wear-and-tear on pumps, and downtime for maintenance. It helps prevent carryover and optimize feed density for enhanced de-watering. Measuring, monitoring and controlling the solid-liquid interface level of primary, secondary and backwash silt/biosolids, in water and wastewater clarifiers and settlement tanks, it automatically adjusts the beam power intensity of the LED-phototransistor sensors in its vertical probe to accommodate thick or thin sludge concentrations, and even light flocs. No calibration is required. Its slim profile is ideal for the obstructed/constricted space of inclined plate lamellas. In DAF units, it can adjust surface skimmer speeds to match variations in the thickness of the floating sludge layer. And in SBRs, it can control the decant valve to minimize cycle times.
