FPI Water Quality Monitoring Analyzers Meet Vietnam's Industrial Wastewater Monitoring Standards，Support Industrial Enterprises’ Compliance
As Vietnam's industrial development policy has begun to power the model, industrial production and new generation of information technology industries continue to integrate and co-develop, and the industry's iterative applications are constantly upgraded. This is accompanied by an increase in urban pollution, which threatens the lives and health of the population.
The 2020 Regulation on automatic continuous monitoring system HỆ THỐNG QUY ĐỊNH PHÁP LUẬT LIÊN QUAN ĐẾN HỆ THỐNG QUAN TRẮC TỰ ĐỘNG, LIÊN TỤ encourages organisations, institutions and individuals to participate in environmental monitoring in accordance with the law, and disclose information on the quality of the environment to the society.
To require the above organisational bodies (domestic sewage, industrial process wastewater dischargers and individuals) to take responsibility for the accuracy of their publicly available environmental monitoring data, ensuring that the monitoring process is accurate and reliable, assuring the equipments’ technical principles are compliant with the standards.
Notice regarding the installation of an automatic continuous wastewater monitoring system
1.To whom the wastewater monitoring system is to be installed
Subject to the installation of an automatic continuous wastewater monitoring system in accordance with article 97, paragraph 4, of Protocol No. 08/2022/ND-CP:
Centralised production, business and service areas, industrial districts (including projects and facilities within the district, but exempted from connection and direct sewage discharge into the environment), centralised sewage treatment systems in economic zones (if any) discharging sewage into the surroundings.
2.Monitoring parameters of the automatic continuous wastewater monitoring system
The monitoring parameters are defined in accordance with article 97, paragraph 4, of Protocol No. 08/2022/ND-CP.
Main monitoring parameters include effluent flow (inlet/outlet), temperature, pH, TSS, COD, and NH4+ (except for production, operations and services where Amoni control is not required under the Wastewater Environmental Technical Regulations).

Among others:
With regard to the accuracy requirements in the table above, the characteristics of the monitoring equipment can be selected either by the accuracy of the readings or by the accuracy of the measurement range;
Automated monitoring equipment with at least 1 measuring range capable of measuring 3 times the limiting value of the site as specified in the environmental national technical regulation (except for temperature and pH parameters)
Based on more than 20 years of technology accumulation, FPI has developed various types of online water quality analysers according to the characteristics of different waters to meet the requirements of environmental regulatory authorities at all levels for monitoring the concentration of pollutants in wastewater discharged from factories.
According to Article 97, paragraph 4 of Protocol No. 08/2022/ND-CP, which supplements the description of the measuring ranges of monitoring equipment, automated monitoring equipment should have at least one measuring range that is capable of measuring three times the value of the limitations of the site as set out in the national technical regulations for the environment (except for temperature and pH parameters).
From the above table, the monitoring range of the FPI water quality online analyser can cover the requirements of Circular No. 10/2021/TT-BTNMT for the monitoring of pollutant content in wastewater.
