The Government has published a Command Paper containing their response to the Environmental Audit Committee's (EAC) 'Air Quality' report. The paper responds to the specific recommendations made by the EAC in their report, and how the Government aims to take them forward.
Publishing the response as a Command Paper means that it is presented to Parliament, rather than simply a response to the EAC, which gives the paper additional policy weight. This is the first policy statement on air quality issued since the change of Government in May.
