Graco Acquires Landtec/GeoTech
Both Companies Become Part of QED Environmental Systems, Inc.
Graco Inc. (NYSE: GGG), a leading manufacturer of fluid handling equipment and parent company of QED Environmental Systems, Inc., announced today the finalized acquisition of Geotechnical Instruments (UK) Limited and Landtec North America. Both Geotechnical Instruments and Landtec will become part of QED Environmental Systems, Inc.
Geotechnical Instruments is a Warwickshire, U.K. manufacturer of portable and fixed gas analyzers for landfill, biogas and medical applications. They are also a key distributor of QED equipment in the U.K. Landtec is a Colton, California manufacturer of landfill gas wellhead equipment. They are also the North American sales channel for Geotechnical Instruments' gas analyzer equipment.
QED has been the foremost designer and manufacturer of environmental monitoring and remediation equipment since 1982, bringing innovative products to market that offer ease of use, long-term durability, and technical superiority.
This acquisition, along with the 2015 addition of Environmental Pump Solutions, (EPS), to the QED offering, solidifies QED’s position as the leading solutions provider for the landfill liquid and gas management industries. “This is an exciting opportunity for our QED business, and is consistent with our strategy to deliver leading technologies,” said Mark Eberlein, Graco’s Vice President of the Process Division. QED President, Tim White echoed this statement, adding, “We’re very pleased to have these two great companies become part of the QED family.
