Vinakraft Paper is a new Greenfield factory that produces kraft paper from used paper. It belongs to the Siam Cement Group, one of Thailand’s leading “blue-chip” stock-listed companies.

GWE got the order for this very sophisticated 5-stage treatment plant against severe international competition.

Given the very strict effluent quality requirements of COD <= 40 that have to be met under the contract, GWE designed an advanced 5-stage treatment process consisting of pre-treatment (screening, sand removal, flocculation + DAF), anaerobic treatment (ANUBIXTM-B), aerobic biological treatment (ASTEROXTM), tertiary treatment (flocculation + DAF) and finally advanced oxidation (UV – Ozone treatment).

This 5-stage treatment sequence is unprecedented and is the result of Siam Cement Group’s desire to meet these very strict discharge standards at all times.

Winning this contract from major competitors shows GWE’s strong position as leading technology solutions provider.

Over the years GWE has positioned itself at the world top being capable of handling the most extreme types of wastewater.

“There has never been a customer amongst our 300 references we ever let down. All our references worldwide are working to the full satisfaction of our clients. As our customers are our most valuable assets, GWE is committed towards offering top-quality installations, even if this sometimes requires additional R&D or investments by ourselves” says Mr. Jean Pierre Ombregt, Chairman & CEO of GWE.
