Stable and robust humidity sensors with ultra-fast response time are often required in applications involving meteorology – not only in normal conditions, but also under elevated environmental conditions such as extremely low temperatures and under condensation. Such applications need fully tailored solutions, such as those provided by the Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG P14 4051 Rapid 2 Thermo.

The IST AG P14 4051 Rapid 2 Thermo consists of an ultra-fast capacitive humidity sensor, based on IST AG’s outstanding P14 polymer, together with a heating element. The sensor achieves extraordinary fast response time (< 0.3s at 23°C) due to optimized thin film layers specially developed for metrological applications  

The heating function provides the possibility to protect the sensors from icing and enables fast re-measurement after condensation.

The P14 4051 Rapid 2 Thermo humidity sensor is capable of measuring 0 % RH to 100 % RH (maximal dew point +85 °C) with a capacitance of 650 pF ±150 pF (at 30 % RH and +23 °C) and operates within a temperature range of -80 °C to +150 °C.
