Hungarian Water Jet Recycling Receives Boost
Hungary's Hot & Cold Therm (HCT), a company that plans and installs technical building systems, has developed machinery that uses high-pressure water jets to recycle tyres, according to a report by Hungarian state news.
Hungarian Firm to Recycle by Water-jetting
HCT said the HUF 356 million (12.3M Euro) project was supported by a HUF 196 million European Union grant (6.77 M Euro). Managing director Zoltán Benko said that the company, based in Tiszalök (184 km northeast of Budapest), has set up a pilot plant that can turn out up to 500 tonnes of granulate from recycled tyres each year.
