New noise course dates announced for 2015

The answers you need about workplace noise measurements and basic noise theory, from the noise at work measurement specialist and more, when you attend Pulsar's brand new Noise Awareness Courses in 2015.

Noise regulations, and a basic understanding of noise theory and noise control is something that employers who are responsible for staff operating in noisy areas of over 80dB(A) need to be aware of. Pulsar Instruments, the UK fastest growing noise measurement equipment manufacturer, is today releasing 3 new course dates for 2015. The aim of the one day course is to raise the awareness of noise as a risk, increase safety professionals' knowledge of how to monitor noise and the current legislation together with encouraging safer behaviours and correct use of Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) at work.

This method of learning is the best way to increase understanding of the key issues relating to the measurement and control of noise in the workplace including the latest regulations.

The workshop program covers areas such as 'basic noise theory, the terminology used in noise measurement, The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and BS4142 Method for Rating Industrial Noise affecting Mixed Residential and Industrial Areas'. It also offers an interactive practical session at the end of the day where delegates get the opportunity to make some noise measurements with sound level meters or noise dosemeters under the guidance of an experienced noise consultant.

Don't take our word for it, read what customers say about the course:

Previous delegates have made the following comments:

“The course dealt with all major issues around noise we need to address at work and was only one day!” Mr M Bate, HSE Manager

“Very useful refresher course.” Mr A Barker, Lab Analyst

“Being a complete novice, the day has made a lot of the ‘jargon’ much clearer. C Smith, HSE Advisor

“A good insight into what is required from a legal perspective and also the practicalities of creating a noise assessment.” P Baldwin, HSE officer
