Kemira seeks profitable growth through differentiation
Source: Global Water Intelligence (GWI)
Kemira CEO Jari Rosendal today outlined his vision for profitable growth at the company’s annual capital markets day, which returned to London for the first time since 2014.
Updating the company’s medium- to long-term operative EBITDA target to a new range of 14-16%, Rosendal and his senior management team explained the increasing role that more holistic solutions would play in the company’s drive to restore profitability.
By providing a suite of products and services for a total wet-end chemistry solution in the pulp and paper markets, Kemira hopes its enhanced value proposition will improve efficiency and reduce downtime for clients. In the municipal and industrial business, meanwhile, the company is banking on its proprietary advanced water treatment (AWT) solution delivering above-the-market topline growth, as it seeks to mitigate the downside of lower chemical demand as a result of water conservation by seizing opportunities in new areas such as water reuse.
