LimnoTech Project Featured in Webcast
A LimnoTech project will be featured in a webcast by the Chesapeake Stormwater Network on December 3 at 12:00 pm. The webcast will feature winners of the 2015 Best Urban BMP in the Bay Award. Winning projects were evaluated on their effectiveness in using Best Management Practices (BMPs) to meet a number of stormwater management criteria.
LimnoTech’s project, managed by Ryan O’Banion of our Washington, DC office, who will also be a speaker during the webcast, is titled RiverSmart Washington – Intensive LID Retrofits in Two DC Neighborhoods. The project assessed the benefits of distributed green infrastructure or low-impact development (LID) practices at a neighborhood scale in Washington, DC.
The work has included evaluating and recommending potential demonstration locations for LID retrofits, developing and implementing a monitoring program to evaluate LID retrofit performance, and assisting with design development.
