Dr. Warris, who authored the VCS in November 2007, is a known industry expert on carbon emissions, bringing a vast amount of technical expertise to the forum. Her work in developing and authoring the VCS was crucial; first, to assure the standard was robust and combined the insight and experience of the VCS Steering Committee with the expertise of the International Standards Organization (ISO), and second, to enable elements of ISO 14064 and ISO 14065 to be incorporated into the VCS 2007 and its reference documents.
