12-abr-2018 -- HSM has been collaborating for over 20 years with the Cooperative State University in Ravensburg (DHBW). Together, we train students who are taking commercial and technical degree courses. As of April 3rd, we are also collaborating on market research.
HSM invited students on the degree course “International Business”, together with their Marketing Professor Prof. Dr. Thomas Dobbelstein, to a kick-off meeting to discuss the joint market research project. After getting a short introduction to the company, the 15 students were given an insight into the sales structure of the office technology products and the diversity of the products in the HSM portfolio. The students were then tasked with the market research project on the subject of “Major Influences when deciding to buy a Document Shredder“. The theoretical aspects were combined directly with the practical aspects when the students went to the HSM showroom, where they were able to spend time looking at and testing the document shredders. This also enabled them to start formulating their initial questions.
Over the coming weeks, the students will form project groups to deal in-depth with topics on the PBS branch, document shredders, sales channels, dealer structures and, in particular, with questions on the subject of purchase decisions before they present the results in June.
