New ways to market your indoor air quality (IAQ) business in a recovering economy will be the subject matter of the upcoming presentation on May 27 at the Maui Fire & Flood Training Room.
Paul Cochrane, the founder of the IAQ industry’s only dedicated marketing and public relations firm, Cochrane & Associates, will be presenting creative and cost effective marketing techniques to members of the Hawaii Chapter of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) next month.
The Indoor Air Quality Association’s Honolulu Chapter has been providing professional forums to allow representatives from various industries the opportunity to share their experiences relevant to building sciences. This cross-industry sharing of information can provide insight into new developments and solutions in the ever changing face of IAQ.
The presentation will take place in Wailuku, Maui and will run from 3 to 5 PM. Topics from Mr. Cochrane’s presentation will include how to enhance a company’s marketing and public relations utilizing new technologies such as social media, online videos, internet marketing and ways to increase search engine optimization. Traditional marketing methods such as direct mail, print advertising and tradeshow participation and methods to maximize returns will also be discussed.
Many industry professionals know Mr. Cochrane from his years as a vice president at Aerotech Laboratories, Inc. Through the use of creative and strategic marketing initiatives he was able to help grow Aerotech from 9 employees to over 330 in just 4 years to position the company for sale in 2004 to a strategic European buyer. During the past 4 years he has presided over Cochrane & Associates and recently launched the IAQ Video Network, which can be found at www.IAQTV.com.
“I’m looking forward to participating at the chapter workshop and meeting the members,” reported Paul Cochrane. “Marketing an IAQ business has changed in many ways in recent years due to innovations in technologies. Recent challenges, primarily from the economy, have caused companies to embrace new marketing techniques and to think outside the box,” he continued.
In addition to the upcoming IAQA Honolulu Chapter presentation, Mr. Cochrane just completed a presentation at the IAQA Philadelphia Chapter and will be giving presentations on similar topics at the May 11th Phoenix Chapter Meeting, May 14th Houston Chapter Meeting, June 14th Santa Fe Chapter Meeting and August 18th Pensacola Chapter Meeting.
