Maxxam adds training videos to online customer resource centre

Mississauga, ON. -- Maxxam is pleased to announce the addition of six training videos to its online customer resource centre. Incorporating hundreds of hours of collaborative input from scientific and customer service specialists across Canada, the videos are designed to help customers learn and follow best practices for environmental sample collection and delivery.

“We have invested in these videos to support our customers in the training of their field staff,” explains Bryan Chubb, Vice President – Business Development for Maxxam’s Environmental Services group. “We believe that these videos will raise the sample integrity, safety and data quality outcomes for our industry.”

Bryan adds: “By sharing our expertise and best practices for sample collection and sample handling, we help customers set their projects on the path to better, faster analytical results – saving them time and money. In addition, by watching these videos and implementing recommended field practices and procedures, customers ensure safe working conditions for their field technicians.”

The instructional videos currently available are:

  • How to Pack a Cooler (for safe and cool transport of soil & water samples)
  • How to Complete a Chain of Custody
  • How to Collect Water Samples for VOC analysis with no headspace
  • How to Collect Soil Samples for BTEX/F1 analysis
  • How to Collect Soil Vapour with a Summa Canister
  • How to Collect Soil Vapour with a Thermal Desorption (TD) Tube
