Both near and far term electricity and gas prices were volatile across the month of April, most ending up slightly higher than where they ended in March.
Renewed escalations of the in tensions in Ukraine send prices upwards once again around the middle of the month.
However this has been offset by an extremely comfortable gas supply situation, with good levels of storage as well as ample LNG heading into the UK, sending prices back down towards the levels seen at the end of March.
