More starch factories find their way to Global Water Engineering for combined wastewater treatment and bio-energy solutions

0
Global Water Engineering (GWE) has further strengthened its worldwide position as bio-energy solutions provider for the starch producing & processing industry.

In 2007 GWE grew its global starch effluent capacity with 1,000 tonnes COD/day in more than 10 new projects.

Mr. Jean Pierre Ombregt, CEO of GWE, says “this series of new orders in 2007 confirms the reliability of our installations and our technological leadership in handling high-load effluents. The performance of our installations exceeds many customers’ expectations in terms of energy recovery and effluent quality.”

Global Water Engineering turns the starch-processing waste and wastewater into clean biogas and clean effluent through its proprietary anaerobic ANUBIXTM and RAPTORTM technologies.

This biogas can be used to generate electrical power and, besides running the installation fossil fuel independent, this green electricity can be compensated by utility companies in the form of green kW premiums.
