Mr. Schmickl from RHI AG receives award for the Best Investment Project


With more than 180 years of tradition, RHI AG, which has its headquarters in Vienna, Austria has become a global player and is one of the world’s leading supplier of high-grade ceramic refractory products. RHI AG produces more than 1.5 million tons of refractory bricks, mixes, mortars and functional products which are used in the steel, cement, glass, nonferrous metals, energy as well as chemical and petrochemical industries. In spring 2016 the top project managers 2015 were awarded with the first “Project Excellence Awards” in the categories Best Growth Project, Best Investment Project, Best R&D/Innovation Project and Best Cost/Performance Improvement in the headquarters in Vienna. We are very pleased, that Mr. André Schmickl has received an award for the Best Investment Project.

Mr. Schmickl, MCC Crushing & Mixing, successfully completed an environmental project together with CTP Chemisch Thermische Prozesstechnik GmbH at the RHI production site in Trieben, Austria. The waste gas from three production lines is combined and passed through a CTP turnkey air pollution control system. The innovative and at the same time economical solution by CTP further minimizes the environmental impact below the statutory limits.
