Tonawanda, New York -- Wendt Corporation, designers and manufacturers of automobile shredding and non-ferrous separation systems, is the exclusive North American partner of MTB Recycling. With over 30 years of experience manufacturing wire and cable chopping systems, MTB Recycling is a market leader in North America. In addition to traditional cable and wire chopping equipment, MTB also produces non ferrous processing systems, tire recycling equipment, and has recently designed an electronics recycling line. As a result of MTB’s success and development into new applications, MTB has redesigned their logo to reflect these changes.
Bob Childers, Product Specialist at Wendt Corporation says, “While the quality of MTB’s equipment remains the same, the new logo represents the expansion of their product line. Our exclusive partnership with MTB serves as a great resource for our customers in North America and helps increase Wendt’s presence in several markets. We look forward to new opportunities as we continue with MTB.”
Wendt’s need to create a solution for chopping copper wire from automobile shredder residue (ASR) is an example of MTB’s development of new applications. Wendt designs non ferrous separation plants which are able to recover copper wire from ASR, however traditional wire chopping operations have not been interested in this material because of the potential for solid metals in the copper wire. MTB’s heavy-duty equipment is designed and built so it can handle these solid metals. This gives processors the ability to chop copper wire from ASR and significantly upgrade its value.
Wendt Corporation’s strategic partnership with MTB Recycling focuses on producing industry leading equipment and solutions. Wendt has an in-house engineering department that can provide custom layouts tailored to customer needs.
