NanoRegulation - Anticipating the smallest threats and the largest opportunities

0
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is hosting the third Nanotechnology Symposium on March 19 in Sacramento, California. The symposium will also be available via webcast.

This event will focus on EPA's current activities, DTSC's chemical information call-in program for nanoscale materials, and industry perspectives.

Federal interest in nanomaterials and California's efforts in this area, combined with university and industry developments, provide an opportunity for fostering technological advances that recognize environmental and public health concerns.

DTSC's goal is to create a partnership to identify information gaps and research needs aimed at sustainable processes and safe applications. The symposium is free and open to the public. A background in science, chemistry, or physics is not required to attend.
