The National Association of Shopfitters has appointed Altius Vendor Assessment to manage assessment for its ‘gold standard’ accreditation scheme.
Altius has introduced an online assessment platform for the PAS 82 Shopfitting Management System. PAS 82 was developed by NAS through the British Standards Institution (BSI) to raise shopfitting industry standards and create a nationally recognised accreditation for members.
The standard promotes best practice procedures for corporate governance, health, safety and environmental performance, training, innovation and value engineering and customer service. By gaining PAS 82, shopfitters can demonstrate that they are a reputable business that meets the highest professional standards.
Robert Hudson, Chief Executive of the National Association of Shopfitters said: “We have recently updated PAS 82 and so it made sense to appoint Altius at this time to help develop the broader assessment and introduce a flexible and efficient online system. Altius has an excellent reputation and a wealth of experience that will enable our industry to aim higher and for companies to demonstrate and showcase their excellence and professionalism.
Altius is a British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) award winning assessment business with many clients in the retail and hospitality sectors, including Selfridges and Morrisons, SGP Property and Facilities Management, Arcadia Group, Debenhams, Punch Taverns and Trust Inns. The company also manages supply chain compliance and accreditation on behalf of major international companies such as Airbus.
The PAS 82 standard was developed by NAS, in partnership with BSI, with support from an eminent steering group including: Royal Institute of British Architects; Chartered Society Designers; Association of British Insurers; Health and Safety Executive (Manufacturing & Construction); CITB Construction Skills; British Retail Consortium; British Property Federation and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
