National forum to explore strategies on leading workplace change
The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) announced that it would host a national forum to discuss the role leadership and responsibility play in improving and building safer and healthier workplaces. CCOHS’ Forum III: Leading Workplace Change will be held March 8 to 9, 2010 in Gatineau, Quebec.
This unique event brings together representatives from Canadian, provincial and territorial governments, employers and labour organizations as well as subject experts to share their knowledge, perspectives and collective experience around effective leadership and its impact on workplace health and safety.
CCOHS’ Forum III will feature a keynote presentation by best selling author and international improvement leader Jim Clemmer on Leading at the Speed of Change. Other experts will share their knowledge of how leadership impacts violence prevention, participatory ergonomics, and the internal responsibility system through training and knowledge transfer.
