NCEC (National Chemical Emergency Centre)

NCEC to celebrate 40th anniversary at prestigious conference

NCEC will mark its 40th anniversary with a celebratory conference at the Royal Society of Chemistry in central London on November 13 2013.

The afternoon technical conference will be followed by a drinks reception in the evening to celebrate the anniversary. The event will focus on the global regulatory challenges affecting the chemical industry.

Guests will enjoy a full programme of talks from influential speakers representing leading trade bodies and key regulatory advisors. These include the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Chemical Industries Association and the European Chemicals Agency.

“Increasing regulatory pressures and global business activity mean NCEC’s multilingual emergency response service is now more relevant than ever,” said NCEC’s Jonathan Gibbard. “And with excellent product developments in Chemdata, regulatory compliance support and our international intermediary contracts, there are many exciting opportunities to look forward to in the years ahead.

“The event is set to be a memorable occasion, bringing together peers and colleagues from all sectors of the chemical industry to mark this key milestone in NCEC’s rich history. We look forward to celebrating 40 amazing years and turning our attention to the developments the next 40 years will bring.”
