New addition to air quality armoury from Enviro Technology Services
An innovative air quality monitoring system has been installed at Bristol’s Old Market, allowing ET and Bristol City Council to compare the device’s performance with existing equipment.
Stroud-based Enviro Technology working in partnership with Bristol City Council has installed a TrafficBOx compact Air Quality Monitoring System at Old Market for evaluation purposes.
Because the TrafficBOx is small enough to be wall-mounted, it fills the gap between a full-size monitoring station and hand-held, simple diffusion samplers, allowing users to continuously measure emissions where they would otherwise have been unable to.
The council already has 10 air quality monitoring systems in place across the city.
Enviro Technology’s operations director Duncan Mounsor said: “We believe so much in the TrafficBOx’s ability to provide a cost-effective way of monitoring air quality that we’ve provided the unit for free so that the council can see how the technology performs for themselves.
