New Heavy Duty Rotor for TANA Shark shredders significantly increases wear resistance
Source: Tana Oy
Tana has developed a new heavy duty rotor for TANA Shark shredders. Wearing resistance of the rotor has been improved by Chrome-Carbide coating which has 10x better wearing resistance than standard materials used. The new rotor was tested in the UK by an experienced TANA user and they were very happy with the results.
”The shredder has been much easier to manage from both performance and wear, the impact on the rotor knives and counter knives has significantly reduced. Material has also been found to be much more consistent which has improved the quality of the finished product.” says the operator.
Based on the test results, life of the Heavy Duty rotor can be considered as at least 3000hours (MSW, 40t/h).Normal hard facing repair interval has been 500hour, so heavy duty rotor has saved about 200hours of hard facing work and 7600tn of capacity.
The increased uptime and improved quality of the finished product means increased profits for the operator.
