Is the Smartphone the key to future mobility? How is our mobility behaviour changed by new and already existing technologies? And how must cities and rural regions respond to these developments to avoid being left behind? These and other questions are at the centre of new mobility 2016. This trade fair and convention will be moved from October into the spring, and will instead be held from 12 to 13 April 2016 on the Leipziger Messe exhibition grounds. At that time, representatives of public authorities, city planners and developers, transportation companies and associations, along with the automotive industry, will discuss the issue of 'Rethinking mobility', which also includes a look at linkages between all transportation carriers. Concepts, products and services related to future mobility will be presented in the exhibition area. This will also be the first time that new mobility is held at the same time as AMI Auto Mobil International (9 to 17 April 2016).
'The mobility of the future will look different', says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. 'It is something that cities, rural regions and companies in the mobility sector will have to prepare for, as they face increasing competition from new service providers. new mobility will address this aspect by bringing together the requirements for multimodal mobility concepts with innovative solutions.'Diversified trade fair offering with exhibition area for tomorrow's mobility
The new mobility offering covers mobility and business models, energy management of infrastructure, information and communication technology, research and innovation, services as well as publishing houses and trade magazines.
The concurrent exhibition provides trade visitors with innovative concepts, solutions, products and services related to the mobility of the future. It is the ideal setting for intensive exchanges regarding changing mobility patterns in the city and in the country, and for establishing new business contacts.Especially for start-ups: Exclusive offer for new and innovative companies
Companies that were established no more than five years ago, and whose business concept places them in the future mobility segment, can take advantage of an exclusive offer: they can obtain stand space – including electricity, standing table and bar stool – at a reduced price.Top-class conference programme with well-known presenters
Trade visitors can look forward to a high-quality conference programme. Well-known national and international presenters offer a comprehensive overview of current and future mobility developments.
The programme is divided into six focus areas, including the event themes 'Infrastructure for urban spaces of the future – Future transportation systems and infrastructure in international metropolitan regions', 'Scenarios & Forecasts: Mobility 2035' and 'Reality of vehicle automation 2016 – Current state of technology'.Political forum discusses urgent questions related to mobility
new mobility 2016 is also valuable from a political point of view: the Political Forum will be held on the evening of 12 April in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Transportation and Digital Infrastructure, and the German Transportation Forum.
In terms of contents, the Political Forum is dedicated to the issues digitisation, broadband and transportation – and will therefore address the urgent questions regarding mobility, for which answers must be found. A get-together for all participants rounds off the evening event.Mutual impulses: the first time that new mobility is held at same time as AMI Auto Mobil International
Even though many people are changing their mobility patterns, the car has nevertheless remained an important component of everyday life. In this context, there is growing demand for vehicles with alternative engines and networked transport carriers.
The fact that new mobility will be held from 12 to 13 April next year, hence at the same time as AMI Auto Mobil International, offers the complementary target groups an opportunity to take advantage of the resulting interconnected impulses and synergies. The issue of future car mobility will be given a lot of room as part of the automotive trade show: visitors to the “Glashalle” on the exhibition grounds will be able to experience automated driving, alternative engines, driver assistance systems and connectivity.
