New Technology from METTLER TOLEDO Allows Unattended and Automated Sampling of Chemical Reactions
The new EasySampler allows unattended, representative sampling of a wide range of chemical reactions, including heterogeneous reactions. The unique patented probe enables scientists to capture and immediately quench reaction samples at reaction conditions to provide truly representative samples.
METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce that EasySampler is now available. EasySampler fully automates the sampling process including sampling capture, quench at reaction conditions, dilution and dispensing into a vial.
Designed to eliminate challenges scientists face in the sampling of chemical reactions, EasySampler provides an automated and robust inline method of taking representative samples from chemical reactions.
The unique, patented EasySampler probe enables the capture and immediate quenching of reaction samples. Immediate quenching provides a sample representative of the reaction at the time of sampling which is particularly advantageous for monitoring low temperature and air-sensitive chemistry.
For unattended reaction sampling, a sample sequence can be programmed for continued sample operations, day or night. At the touch of a button, samples are taken, quenched, diluted to a user-specified concentration, and transferred to vials, ready for offline analysis.
To ensure user safety even in hazardous conditions, EasySampler fully automates the sampling process, eliminating the manual handling of liquids. This reduces the risks associated with highly toxic chemistry, dangerous reactions at elevated temperatures, and other hazardous reaction conditions.
Common EasySampler applications include sampling reactions for impurity profiling, product formation, by-product formation, reaction progress by offline analysis and yield. The EasySampler tool offers distinct advantages for sampling air-sensitive chemistry, moisture-sensitive chemistry, low temperature chemistry, and hazardous reactions.
