IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/01/11 -- OleumTech Corporation, a leading manufacturer of industrial wireless automation systems, today announced its release of the Wireless Flow Totalizer Transmitter, which is part of the WIO® Wireless System. The self-contained, battery operated Flow Totalizer Transmitter breaks new ground by providing wireless flow monitoring capabilities to any industrial process condition. The new Flow Totalizer provides maximum flexibility by allowing seamless integration with third-party flow turbine meters or sensors. This flexibility makes it extremely convenient for retro-fitting into existing infrastructures with flow meters already in place for enabling wireless connectivity.
The Flow Totalizer Transmitter provides precise flow measurement (±0.01% of reading) and can capture up to 10,000 turbine cycles per second (1 Hz to 10 KHz). The Flow Totalizer is the first of its kind within the WIO® family of products to have a built-in LCD screen. The LCD provides Current Flow Rate, Today's Totals, Yesterday's Totals, Battery Voltage, and RF Status data for quick on-site reading.
'We are extremely excited about our new Wireless Flow Totalizer and the benefits it will bring to our existing and new customers. Just like our other WIO wireless monitoring products; this device will have a rock-solid performance on the field proven WIO wireless platform. We also made a clear decision to make our product compatible with third-party flow turbine meters so that we leave the critical choice up to the customer to help them best fit their needs,' said Asif Sheriff, Director of Sales and Marketing - Global at OleumTech.
The Wireless Flow Totalizer Transmitter is a self-contained device that includes antenna, RF radio module, battery, LCD screen, and turbine pickup coil that can be operated in remote and hazardous locations. This product mounts directly to a turbine meter (1' NPT female connection). The Wireless Flow Totalizer is offered in both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz versions. The wireless range of this device is up to 5000 ft. and features long battery life of up to ten years. Like all other WIO Transmitters, the Flow Totalizer wirelessly connects to a WIO Wireless Gateway that provides Modbus connectivity to SCADA systems.
OleumTech Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial automation systems that represents the new paradigm of remote monitoring and control. The patented WIO® System eliminates costs associated with running cables and digging trenches with the use of its wireless tank monitoring, wellhead monitoring and peer-to-peer oilfield automation solutions. Forming the foundation of a highly scalable, peer-to-peer wireless infrastructure, the WIO System enables 'last mile' connectivity in any wireless SCADA and telemetry application.
