LONGMONT, COLORADO, May 3 2013 -- OneRain's Contrail Web and hosted Contrail Inventory customers will soon benefit from secure and protected data with the hosted service's next software update.
Contrail Web is the Software as a Service edition of OneRain's Contrail Enterprise-level application that enables the complete management and dissemination of real-time data (precipitation, stream flow, reservoir or lake levels, meteorological data, and much more...). Contrail Inventory helps manage and keep track of gauge sensor network equipment and hardware.
256-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Encryption
OneRain is employing 256-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption combined with enterprise-class data security and back-up in their off-site data center to ensure customer’s sensitive data stay safe and secure. All communications between the client's web browser and Contrail Web and hosted Contrail Inventory server are encrypted during each session. This encryption protects user’s login name and password from being intercepted while logging in.
This software update is available to all Contrail Web and hosted Contrail Inventory users. There’s no need for customers to take action to receive the update. This update will be performed during OneRain’s standard software maintenance and updates schedule on the second Tuesday of each month.
