Paradigm and Texzon Utilities to offer leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) certification
Paradigm Engineering, Ltd. announced today that they have aligned with Texzon Utilities, Ltd. to jointly offer Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification consulting services.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has established the LEED Green Building Rating System as the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green building.
Heading the LEED certification program at Paradigm Engineering is Hector Esquer, West Region Vice President at Paradigm. Mr. Esquer, a LEED Accredited Professional, has over 14 years of experience building energy efficient (green) projects totaling $100 million in scope.
'With the continued concerns over our environment and the skyrocketing costs of energy, we are pleased to be able to provide LEED Certification consulting services to our commercial and residential clients that will not only increase the value of their projects, but reduce operating costs and help our environment,' said Mr. Esquer.
For the individual, LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System, and are in high demand.
USGBC estimates that architects, real estate professionals, facility managers, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, construction managers, lenders, and government officials all use LEED to help transform the built environment to sustainability.
For commercial and residential clients, LEED certification provides independent, third-party verification that a building project is environmentally responsible, profitable, and a healthy place to live and work. A LEED building can reduce operation costs, enhance asset value and profits, and improve employee productivity and satisfaction.
In partnering with Texzon, Paradigm is ready to be at the forefront of LEED certification services.
“Our alliance with Texzon allows us to provide LEED certification services that incorporate our core competencies and expertise, making LEED a natural addition to the services we currently offer,” said Johnny Combs, President and CEO of Paradigm Engineering.
“The services we provide aim to make the complicated understandable and the expensive affordable,” added Mr. Combs.
Green building projects and accreditation comprise a $2.5 billion market each year, and with growing demand for green infrastructure and management, that number will continue to grow.
“We believe coupling the Paradigm experience and customer base with our proven international track record of energy management, carbon reduction, and over $2 billion worth of commercial LEED project experience will benefit our customers and the environment,” said Ron Green, E.E., LEED A. P., Founder and President of Energy Integrators, Inc. and Partner with Texzon.
