Portable and Fixed Gas Detector Range Enhanced
PPM Technology is pleased to announce a number of significant enhancements to our range of portable and fixed gas detection instruments. PPM has developed wireless connectivity for all our products; dedicated monitoring software enables our instruments to be managed wirelessly from a single PC; the collected data can be stored and analysed, analysis of the data can ensure effective management of any indoor air environment.
Our new Wireless IAQ Profile PPMonitor is able to continuously monitor any Indoor Air Environment. The wireless technology enables real-time monitoring of almost any IAQ parameter including Temperature, Humidity and a wide range of toxic gases and compounds.
PPM Technology’s handheld Formaldehyde detectors the Formaldemeter™ htV and htV-m now offer improved performance and reliability; the instruments are able to accurately measure when very low or extremely high concentrations of Formaldehyde are present; this advance is due to innovation in technology;the recent incorporation of a new miniature solenoid valve to regulate the supply of air into the instrument's fuel cell sensor (additional feature)
The new valve is designed specifically for continuous measurement at high concentrations of formaldehyde in the atmosphere: The valve ensures a sealed system, preventing formaldehyde from seeping into the sensor when sampling is not taking place. The valve has been designed to be inert to formaldehyde vapour ensuring that it will not degrade and leak.
Sampling from remote locations is made possible using the new valve, allowing a sample to be collected through a length of tubing connected to the front nozzle of the instrument. Air may be pumped through the length of tubing bypassing the sensor, before a sample is actually taken; therefore there is no issue with 'dead volume'. Consequently the formaldehyde concentration at the instrument's sampling point is a true reflection of the environment being sampled at the end of the tube.
It is also possible to have wireless connectivity with the hand-held htv-m instrument, a wireless module (optional) at the back of the instrument sends all collected data to a PC in real-time. The collected data can be stored and analysed using the specialist PPMonitor software. The software allows the user to automate samping and log data at specific times via a wireless connection using the specialist PPMonitor software.
The Formaldemeter htv and htv-m can connected to third party control systems via the PPM Technology interface board (ifB). The interface board can be configured to give different voltage outputs; a 4–20mA current output and also gives a relay alarm output. Sampling can also be triggered externally. This relay alarm output is triggered when levels exceed the settings specified by the user. The different outputs offered make it easy to integrate the Formaldemeter into existing process systems.
