ProMinent at IFAT 2014: Experts in Chem-Feed and Water Treatment
At this year's IFAT, ProMinent will be showcasing its expertise in potable water, waste water and process/cooling water under the banner 'Experts in Chem-Feed and Water Treatment'. The Heidelberg-based manufacturer, exhibiting at stand 431 in hall A3, will demonstrate the different applications for its components and systems on a series of product 'islands'. In addition to know-how in water treatment, the company will emphasise its proximity to the customer – and not just in Germany. An experienced customer support and service team delivers optimised industry-specific solutions all over the globe: solutions based on all the necessary standard processes and a complete range of metering and water treatment products.
Visitors will be able to see solenoid and motor-driven metering pumps, metering stations, measuring and control devices, polymer batching and metering station, and electrolysis and chlorine dioxide systems.
The 'islands' are colour-coded to indicate which area they belong to – potable water, waste water or process/cooling water – and the exhibits are labelled accordingly. This makes it easy to recognise which type of application each component, system or technology is designed for.
ProMinent processes also satisfy the minimisation requirements of the German Drinking Water Ordinance. This includes, for example, chemical-free water disinfection through treatment with ultraviolet light, or if necessary disinfection with the minimum possible use of chemicals. A ProMaqua chlorine dioxide or electrolysis system allows disinfectant to be produced on site in line with the ordinance.
ProMinent's panel-mounted metering systems DULCODOS DSWa also demonstrate the flexibility of its metering systems, with solutions ranging from biocide and inhibitor metering in cooling water and pH neutralisation through the precise addition of alkalis and acids to the desalination of process water and the metering of coagulants (iron(III) chloride) for waste water treatment. Equipped with a diaphragm metering pump delta with controlled solenoid drive optoDrive combined with the flow meter DulcoFlow, the stations deliver efficient addition of chemicals with high metering precision.
Another exhibit, a polymer batching and metering station Polymore, can be used to optimise sludge dewatering. When combined with a big bag emptying system for powdered polymers, this system allows flocculants to be metered very accurately in dissolved form.
