Qualification of the AED-14 detectors
AED-14LR and AED-14HR Gamma Detectors manufactured by VF have been qualified according to IEC 60780 and IEEE 323 international standards, which describe the requirements for qualifying electrical equipment important to safety that are to be used in nuclear facilities.
AED-14LR and AED-14HR are designed for the measurement of the air kerma rate in applications for which a 1E qualification and seismic resistance 1a are required. The detectors must maintain their full functionality up to the maximum designed earthquake levels.
