Positive Impact are running open workshops in Manchester, Chester and London to event planners, suppliers and venues to support the event industry’s implementation of sustainability, running October to December 2009.
Positive Impact is a not for profit project based in Manchester, delivering education on sustainability to the event industry across the UK, Europe and US, supported by leading associations including Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Created by the chair of BS 8901, Fiona Pelham, Positive Impact educational workshops and events follow the framework of BS 8901, the British Standard for a sustainable event management system.
The Autumn Series of 5 workshops will cover key sustainability topics such as carbon emissions, energy, waste, greenwashing and BS 8901, bringing in key industry speakers and best practice case studies.
