Butterfly valves for use in form- and core-shooting machines in the air-flow process

2019-08-07 - EBRO ARMATUREN Gebr. Bröer GmbH, Karlstr. 8, D - 5135 Hagen, Tel. +49 (0)2331 904-0, post@ebro-armaturen.com, www. ebro-armaturen.com -- The seat and valve discs wear out extremely quickly due to the extremely sharp-edged quartz sand mixed with binding agents. The foundries and core-making shops are investing a great deal of time and effort in renewing the parts, which only leads to a short-term resumption of production, but does not significantly improve the service life. EBRO ARMATUREN has developed a valve for this complicated application which is now very successfully in use and, depending on the switching cycles, can achieve a service life of more than one year: The 'INFLAS®', a soft-sealing EBRO butterfly valve with inflatable seat. This mode of operation ensures that parts in contact with the media, such as cuff and disc, are less stressed by the abrasive quartz sand. Features such as the cascade shaft seal, which protects against contamination in the shaft area, and extremely wear-resistant materials round off the suitability of this valve.
