Source: Carbon Trust
James Wilde, Director, Innovation and Policy, discusses the future of fuel cell technology.
The Carbon Trust has identified that UK breakthroughs in polymer fuel cells could make fuel cell cars cost competitive with combustion engine cars - doubling the number of fuel cell cars on the road globally by 2030 versus current projections.
This follows on from recent investments in British fuel cell technology with the Polymer Fuel Cell Challenge, ITM Power, ACAL Energy, and Ilika.
Below you can hear from James Wilde, Director of Innovation at the Carbon Trust, explaining a little more about fuel cells at Investing in Fuel Cells, a conference in London organised by Cleantech Investor and Nomura Code, in partnership with the Technology Strategy Board, on 27 September 2012.
