Toyota Motor Corporation - Physico-chemical wastewater treatment for the automotive industry - Case Study
Automotive production at the TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION site in St. Petersburg, Russia, results in various types of wastewater, which must be treated before they are discharged into the sewage system.
The Envochem® COL wastewater treatment plant has been designed for the automatic and continuous treatment of three streams of wastewater containing heavy metal, oil or no contaminants. The total volumetric flow is 50 m³/h. The treatment comprises the following process steps:
- Wastewater buffering and ventilation
- Precipitation / Flocculation
- Neutralisation
- Sedimentation
- Flocculation filtration
- Sludge dewatering using a chamber filter press

- Wastewater containing heavy metals: max. 20 m³/h
- Wastewater containing oils: max. 20 m³/h
- Uncontaminated wastewater: max. 10 m³/h
