Treatment plant for wastewater from barrel wash

Source: AWAS International GmbH

Al-Jazeera Paints from Saudi Arabia has ordered an AWAS ADF FLOT plant to clean waste water from the barrel wash.

The plant consists of a pre-cracking and equalisation process and a double stage emulsion splitting and flotation plant with automatic flocculent mixing station.

It has a flow of 3m³/h and removes reliably oil, grease and heavy metals. The water becomes clear and transparent and shall be partially recycled.

The sludge will be drained in a chamber filter press to save disposal cost. Only 0,5% of the water flow need to be disposed as solid waste!

Running and service cost are also very low, power consumption per m³ is only 1,5 kW, daily service is only approx 10 minutes.
